HEIC to WebP converter

Convert HEIC to WebP in your own browser tab. The picture is decoded and re-encoded here and is never uploaded.

Runs in this tab

Up to 20 images, 50.00 MB each. Output is WebP.

What this conversion changes

WebP is written at quality 92 and keeps transparency, so it is usually the smallest of the three destinations at the same visible quality. It is a lossy re-encode, so this is a second generation of loss on top of whatever the HEIC already discarded.

Re-encoding does not carry EXIF across, so the camera settings and any location in the original are not written into the WebP file. Keep the original if you need them. This browser may not read the source format on its own; where it cannot, a half-megabyte decoder is fetched from this site and run here in a worker, and your picture is no part of that request.

The other conversions

Each has its own page, set to that pair when it opens.
