Mask Aadhaar and PAN numbers

This tool reads text only. It does not read images, scans or PDFs.

• Paste text, or open a .txt, .csv, .tsv, .json, .md or .log file. A photo or scan of a card is not read, so it is not masked.
• PAN numbers show their last 4 characters by default. You can hide all 10 instead.
• 16-digit numbers, such as card numbers and Aadhaar Virtual IDs, are not masked. They are counted so you can check them.
• To mask a single number you type in, use the Aadhaar masking tool or the PAN masking tool. They run the same engine as this page, so they hide exactly the same digits.
• This is an independent tool. It is not made, approved or endorsed by UIDAI or the Income Tax Department.
